About Me

My photo
Staubaloha
One of two (twin brothers...Jim is also an avid photograph to include 3-D) from a family of 8 boys and 1 girl all from the same parents in the same house in the Southland. Now, after living in Eastern Oregon, Central Montana I am in the Beaverton area of the Beaver State. With a surname that originated in Germany that literally means "Dust" my occupation was not an option. It was in my genes to be around dust. I'm a duster at a couple armories working with the great "The Union" seal of the State of Oregon on my armories, flags, hat, shirt, and business card. I have a camera and enjoying taking pictures as time permits. I like to e-mail them to family and friends or make post cards from them and now I'm included some on this Beaver State Lens Duster blog. My mom's grandfather's surname was "Black" so I guess with my Staub name and his I could have made a good coal miner. I'll stick with mining potential photos and the routine of being happily married, keeping in touch with our two daughters, and maintaining my armories and suburban ranch style home with a few rabbit thrown in to keep my hopping.

We paid a visit to Helena, Montana on September 11, 2010. What a beautiful capitol building and mall. I once visited The Queen City by bicycle from Great Falls back in May 1978. Then I stayed in a cheap hotel on Last Chance Gulch called the Sunshine Hotel (or something like that...long gone now). My next visit was in the summer of 1992 with Carla and the girls. This time we were with our friend, Steve Grbic who said we had to get a dessert at The Parrot on The Gulch. So we did and we were not disappointed. Hopefully it won't be another 18 or even 14 years before we enjoy another day in the Treasure State Capitol City.
