I have a Camera, therefore I Am....a Lens Duster

I take photos of everyday things nearly every day. It is somewhere between art and obsession, documentary study and point-and-shoot. The totally unique one-of-a-kind shot is what one always strives for but even those boring mundane subjects shot over and over sometimes develop into something that you can't put your finger on but they tell of a time and place that finds a place for later study of the time the silver was exposed or bytes organized. What a camera produces over time is not just chance but a reflection of what the person behind it sees and chooses to record and over time his or her personality become evident.  Maybe you will see that in the photos I post on this site, now or as time goes on.  The lens may need dusting but it does not gather dust from sitting idle; it is from traveling through places and time to capture place and time for my own enjoyment and perhaps yours.

  1. John, I have always thought this about you, but it is interesting to read what you say about yourself. Your pictures are great and prolific.

  2. Thanks, Joe. We had a lot of fun out on the farm last week helping celebrate Joseph's birthday.
