It's Hard Work Keeping My Cool!

This rabbit was making the best of the jug of frozen water in his hutch at the Washington County Fair in late July 2009. They were all treated well and those who seemed to be too hot even with frozen bottles were taken home to stay cool.

This was a very colorful rabbit we found amongst the dozens on display at the Washington County Fair on a red hot day in late July 2009.

One Cool Bunny Rabbit

We were at the Washington County Fair on one of the hottest days of the year in late July 2009. The rabbits all had various aids for keeping them cool, mostly frozen jugs of bottles of water. Here's a rabbit who knows how to stay cool!

Julie's Black Bunny Girl

This is Julie's Black Bunny Girl. She is still waiting for an official name. Her ears are very big and she seems to be a ball of energy.

One of our favorite rabbits. He is probably going to be our next house rabbit. The nice thing is he does not chew things up. JACK!

This was our Muddy Face. Sometimes there's a "one-of-a-kind" pet which is what he was. He was such a funny rabbit and made a wonderful pet for all of us. He overcame a lot of adversity to survive as long as he did which may have made him even more special. It is true with people too, of course.

Jack Rabbit, a house rabbit who gets to explore out in the backyard occasionally seen here on a hot July weekend. He is under the holly tree considering his next move like a chess player, trying to avoid the inevitable capture. He is 98% flee and 2% fight, like most rabbits.

Here's Julie with her new pet rabbit that it seems does not have an official name. She just calls her "Bunny Girl" or "Terror". They are both fearless. Somehow she got her to hold still long enough for this shot.
