While bicycling in Beaverton on a sunny winter day in 2009 I found this ball of bolts art work on a stainless steel pedestal across the street from an auto parts store. I'm not sure what the ball represents, possibly the earth rusting away? Or could it be a tribute to Rusty Staub the famed baseball player? It looks like a spinning curve ball frozen for all time...well, till it rusts away anyway.

While bicycling in Beaverton on a sunny winter day in 2009 I found this ball of bolts art work on a stainless steel pedestal across the street from an auto parts store. I'm not sure what the ball represents, possibly the earth rusting away? Or could it be a tribute to Rusty Staub the famed baseball player?
